Quizlet is a website where you can either create flashcards for online use, or browse other people's flashcards. Practically every topic you can think of is on there, all of which you can either practise with flashcards, learn, write, spell, test, match, or gravity mode.
Since they are flashcards, it's best for revision, as a few words + a picture is a much better way of learning than with paragraphs when writing on cards. Personally, I'd say it works quite well, especially as they also provide a "test" option and a "match" option.
Other than not being for learning, the other disadvantage is that it can be annoying when in any given writing mode, you write an answer, and they mark it incorrectly only because your answer is not word-for-word. I mean, I get why, as they can't really go through each answer and give a marking option for an answer that is the same in essence, if not in word. But still, it can be really frustrating. Although, there is an option to click that says "mark as correct" or "mark as incorrect", but some users may misuse the purpose of that.
Quizlet also has an upgrade option, where you pay for a "better version". I don't pay, and don't know anyone who does. I doubt it's worth it, since what more can flashcards do? They say that you have to pay to use bold, italics, and underlining in your writing, but to be honest, it's not worth paying for that.
So in conclusion, Quizlet is a great resource for quickly recapping any given topic - education or non-educational - but not to learn anything. You can try learning, but there are better websites…

I have never been to their website, never signed up for any service with them, yet somehow my bank account was charged $45.28. Of course, I reported it to my bank, but, I can't believe they are so bold as to steal money directly from people's bank accounts. As people said in these reviews, their customer service phone number is nonexistent. This company is a SCAM, beware!

Quizlet Charging Money for Open Sourced Answers

Quizlet acquired the website Slader.com which was used by students across the world to share and discuss textbook answers. The answers were written by students for students all for free. Quizlet swooped in, bought out Slader and is now charging for all the work that was done for free by generous people. It's frankly disgusting and everyone should stay far away from Quizlet

With Quizlet there are a number of different things you can do to help study, learn, or memorize material. I get maybe an email a week from Quizlet which I will admit is annoying but is nothing compared to the emails I get from Grammarly. I think Quizlet is an excellent resource. It has helped me with tests and quizzes. Without this resource, I think I would struggle a lot as a student. I use it for vocabulary mostly. You will most likely be able to find what you need. I've had a few problems with logging in but other than that I think it is great. I have not paid for anything within Quizlet, but I haven't needed to. I've also participated in Quizlet live games and I've found them very helpful and very enjoyable. They are very good for a class preparing for a test or quiz. I would have given it a 4.5 but that was not an option. Not a complete 5 because of the few small issues I wrote about.

Quizlet is great, some people are dummies.

Quizlet is great. Seems like the 1-star reviews are from people who don't understand how free trials work.
I did the free trial and the terms were EVERYWHERE in very simple language. They clearly tell you what date you will be charged after your trial ends, how much it will be, and how frequently it will renew unless you cancel. They also sent a confirmation email which repeated all of this information.
Don't pretend you're shocked that you were charged for something when you willingly provided payment information at the time of signup, and didn't bother to read the 2-3 sentences right next to the signup button.
Some common sense would be nice.
Again, Quizlet is great. I'm still doing the free trial so I'm not sure I'll be using Quizlet Plus, but for sure going to use the free version as it already has plenty of features that I'm using regularly.

Amazingly intuitive, simple and useful. Also free!

I'm using it to make Spanish flashcards, and it even noticed that and automatically provided options for the translation/answer of each one as I added them all in, which sped up the process hugely! Super useful way to create a bank of vocabulary, or more extensive concepts.

Quizlet rips-off questions and answers…

Quizlet rips-off questions and answers from other websites (CommonLit) making that legitimate site unusable for teachers. The students don't have to read and think to answer the questions, they just find the answers on Quizlet.
It helps students cheat!

Be careful of the auto renewal feature

It has taken me ages to work out how to cancel a subscription that I did not realise I had. The process is not clear. I cannot find out how to complain, no transparency or customer service support on their website. Beware, easy to sign up to a free trial but very difficult and not easy to cancel plus no customer service.

As others are saying

As others are saying, signed up for a free trial only to get a whooping charge of around 28 CAD. I cannot even cancel my subscription as it is not even visible under my account. Totally shameful and dishonest behaviour. I already asked for a full refund and will be filing a bbs complaint as well.
Update: The support contacted me and gave me a full refund. Updated it to 5 stars for the prompt support

misleading

I was under the impression that I had to pay 5 dollars per month to use the Q&A. They took 59.99 from my bank account right away, and I have just learned that the Q&A is free, I have no idea what I have subscribed to. I hope I get my refund.

Although it is a great idea to help…

Although it is a great idea to help people learning, there is a lot of flows in this software. Not sure if it is the guy who wrote the questions but in review mode, I have a multiple-choice that make sense but not the same in learning mode with multiple-choice that does not make ANY SENSE with the questions.... In addition, sometimes, I even do not have any opportunity to choose any response. I decided to stop using it as loosing to much time to understand what is right or wrong....

Certified Information Systems Auditor certification? I would not rely on anyone's set. Not for any certification that has high value and a high price tag to take. Too often reviewers at sites are vague about why something is good or bad, or use strictly a personal opinion. If you want to go that route build your own set. It gives you the extra push to learn as you make the cards, but you also know the answers are as good as your own efforts.
